Members of the Club are representatives of Russian and American business, prominent political, state and public figures, scientists and artists. The Club unites all of them under the motto «Optima Fide» - With Absolute Trust.
Russian-American Business Club has set up its headquarters in St. Petersburg, Russia. During a long historical period this city has been playing the major role in establishment and development of Russian-American and Russian-European relations.
The first US diplomatic mission in Russia was opened in St. Petersburg. Here was the headquarters of the Russian-American Company, whose activity has been determining the relations of two great countries for decades. In 1824 here, in St. Petersburg the representatives of the two countries signed the Convention about indissoluble friendship between Russia and the USA, which has later become fundamental for the meaningful cooperation during the entire century. During two centuries St. Petersburg was one of the world’s main capital cities that determined not only the world’s policy, but the international trade as well.
Establishing its headquarters in St. Petersburg the Club stressed the fact that the past, the present and the future of this great city make it not only the Russian “window to Europe”, but also a well-recognized international “window to Eurasia”.
The most respected and authoritative Russian politicians and businessmen participate in the Club’s activity.
The President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry E.M. Primakov and the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs A. N. Shokhin are the co-chairmen of the Club’s Business Chamber.
The Supervisory Board of the Club is headed by G. A. Rapota - the President’s authorized representative in Privolzhye Federal District. The Board of Directors is headed by the President of the Russian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Association, O. N. Soskovets.
